Born and raised in the Bay Area as the oldest of five girls, Jesseca realized early on the lack of financial literacy present in both her community and her family; she developed a strong interest in economics largely to make sure that her younger sisters will have access to someone that can help them plan and develop their financial futures. Jesseca studied both economics and international relations, graduating magna cum laude from Mills College in Oakland. While at Mills, Jesseca supported the American Institute of Architects initiative, The Missing 32%, performing research and data analytics for their nationwide effort to identify and correct the issues causing a disproportionate number of women to drop out of the architectural field. After graduation, Jesseca began working in the financial industry supporting advisors, serving a wide variety of clientele.
Jesseca is passionate about increasing financial literacy through education, and in empowering women and young adults to take ownership of their choices and ultimately reach financial independence.
In her free time, Jesseca coaches and participates in CrossFit. When she’s not doing handstand push-ups, she’s likely with her dogs. Jesseca has three big babies: two bull-mastiffs and a “small” sixty pound rescue from the Miami-Dade shelter.
